The Dark Side The Dark Side Do you think you have a dark side' I know I do. I have shown my dark side towards others and scared them and myself. For example when I was in middle school I got into this fight with one of my best friends over some stupid reason or another in which I broke his arm accidentally. In “Why We Crave Horror Movies” by Stephen King, hr wrote, “I think we’re all mentally ill; those of us outside the asylums only hide it a little better—and maybe not all that much better, after all” (235). To me this statement sounds like we all have a dark side to our personality and I know that I hide my dark side quite a bit better then others. That is why I do believe that people do have a dark side and are too afraid to show that they do have one. There are ways to see that you do have a dark side just in the kind of movies/shows that you watch on television and at the theaters. The way that I hide the dark side of my personality is by being really cheerful.
