LOST This September a new show premiered on ABC to critical acclaim and currently has the potential to become a bonafide hit. This show, LOST, describes the daily lives of a group of approximately forty people who have survived a plane crash in the south pacific. These passengers find themselves stranded on a strange island, which appears to be inhabited by an unknown creature (or creatures) who seems poised and ready to attack at any moment. The show follows these people as they attempt to be rescued, form relationship and discover what mysteries the island holds. Part of the reason that LOST is loved by critics and audiences alike is that the show does not follow the usual television drama format. LOST is a serial drama that does not resolve its conflict at the end of every episode and often leaves the viewer with more questions than answers. The episodes occurs not only in present time but also in flashbacks which help the viewer understand what caused the crash and allows him or her to learn about the characters lives before the crash.
