Cool Hand Luke “Cool Hand Luke” First off, let me start by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed this film. The story was great and I felt right at home with all the characters. This was the first time I had the opportunity to see “Cool Hand Luke,” and I can see now why this movie is a classic. There were many scenes in this movie that I could relate to (maybe not directly) at some point in my life. There was a great portrayal of emotions in the film; from elation, to depression, to just havin’ a good time with the boys; and some of the awkward, but comical moments in the film really hit the nail on the head. The scene that I felt related to a life experience was actually the opening scene of the film in which an inebriated Luke is seen cutting the heads off of the parking meters. He sits down and opens another beer as the police car rolls up. The officer asks what he is doing and Luke blurts out some random drunken babble because he has no real explanation for his actions. The police officer responds, “I think you’d better luke, scene, dragline, time, movie, film, doing, out, felt, off, just, hell, hand, fight, election, cool, because, actions, signs, shot, same, right, remember, relate, reasoning, really, prisoners, prison, police, point, parking, officer, night, meters, luke’s
