Homeward Bound From the video I watched Homeward Bound, The Incredible Journey; I knew the movie took place in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I researched some facts dealing with the Sierra Nevada Mountains and I read that a common type of animal there are bears. As shown on the movie, I was in a disagreement that the video did not present the location accurately. Also, with the fact that the dogs in the movie, Shadow and Chance catapulted the mountain lion in the air down to the bottom of the lake is “clearly impossible”. I researched this data based on the weight of the dogs versus the weight of the mountain lion. I then looked at the different types of rocks and mountain tops of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and at no point did I find any type of similar titer-totter form of rocks which would allow household pets to push a 250 pound mountain lion down a cliff. The next scene I conducted research on the views of the city from the eyes of the pet characters who are Shadow, Chance and Sassy.
