Single Shot Analysis-Citizen Kane Single Shot Analysis In the movie Citizen Kane the scene where Mr. Kane has just lost the election there are many stylistic elements that are used show this scene. The mise-en-scene in this particular shot is very important. In the profilming space it is set up where you can tell an election has just been thrown, even if you hadn’t watched the movie. There are many props that give this away. Streamers everywhere on the floor, election signs all over the walls, papers everywhere and you can tell there was a panel where they stood and the rest of the floor space is empty but with a table in the center. It’s a very obvious campaign headquarters, but it is empty. Mr. Kane’s office is also in the room. In the beginning of the clip all the men move out, they are focused on with a medium long shot.
