Women Of Color In Film As we enter the 21st century, our society still deals with issues of racism. Current cinema and films have diverse representation of women and women characters of color. In spite of this, we need to examine and analyze the subtleties of stereotypes. Cinematic and media stereotyping have negative repercussions in this society and perpetuate unrealistic and demeaning images and notions about black women.
