In the state Arizona, it is the big area in the United States of America in which there are a lot of historical events that are concerned about the ethnic development and people from a variety of races. Therefore, I believe it is worth studying as it is able to bring on a better overview of how the development it is for different races all the way through the modern days.
The first source I have found that is relevant to the Arizona ethnic development is the widespread news report about Arizona's ethnic studies banning whitewashes history. According to the news report, the government in Arizona decided to ban certain ethnic studies in school. In fact, the aim of such an act is to make sure that all races in the United States of America should not be treated unfairly or be looked down upon for its skin color. In fact, I think this source can be the useful material for the studies of the ethnic development in Arizona because it represents how controversial this topic is and how people can act in two different extreme positions.
The second source I found that is concerned about the ethnic demography in Arizona is the report about how the ethnic distribution it is in the school in Arizona. It is titled as Arizona school data shows uneven distribution of ethnic groups and in this article, it is mentioned that twodays following the Arizona helping the charter school movement, based on the enrollment data, it is obvious that the majority of the students are white people and even the Asian students attend schools at a much higher rate than those Latinos. Because of the recently heatedly debated topics, Arizona is the place where people are discussing about whether or not should continue the ethnic studies. However, the uneven distribution of the students from different races is the prove that shows that even in this state, the minority is still at the lower hands.
The third source that I found is called Arizona’s Attempt To Stop Latinos From Learning Their History Just Ran Headlong Into A Federal Court, this is also another response to the issue of banning ethnic studies in the state. Apparently, the students, especially the Latinos have realized that it is not the right act to let the state stop them from learning what they deserve to know. Therefore, they have taken it further by taking the event to the federal court. How the federal court had decided the event is still unknown but it is the evidence of how young Latinos students, or the minority respond to how they are treated.
