By year 2014, almost half of the members are millionaires in the Congress, urging them to chase after the life in luxury and continuing to stay as lobbyists near the White House after their sessions. Even their retirement is covered by taxpayer’s money and contributions from participants. Therefore it is necessary to establish anti-corruption groups and institution of supervision on Congress members. Without a proper mechanism to urge these members to focus on public service, they are easily to be driven by monetary benefits and power. By controlling their pay and privileges, the road to corruption will get more and more difficult, and those who really contribute to public service should be rewarded.
