By observing the expressions and state of various part of the body of the patients, the doctors diagnosed the concrete natural illness of the patients for the reason that the rooted illness were shown on the surface layer of the body. In this step, the doctor spread the communication with the patients by observing the concrete situation and whole expression of the patient as well as conducting the initial understanding of the patient. Then, the “listening” assisted the doctors to understand the concrete details and mind of the patients while the patients were capable to judge the general situation of their illness indirectly (Davis, 2011). In this part, both of the patient and doctor listen to the therapeutic scheme and illness as a direct communication way, which was beneficial to improving the familiarity of them as well as increasing the mutual information related to the illness dialectically. Furthermore, the “questioning” was once considered as the most important part in the communication. Not only could it enabled the doctor to claim his inferred diagnosis, but also it created opportunity for the two sides to communicate, which helped a lot to figuring out the illness and enhancing the mutual credibility( Bermudo, 2010). Lastly, in the stage of feeling the pulse was a profound communication. It was through this way that the doctor communicated with the patients accurately and exactly for the reason that the Chinese medicine believed that the pulse was the best approach to demonstrate the inner world and specific illness symptoms.
