Dear Sir or Madam,

Upon the request of my student, Mr. Lei Kaiming, I am writing this reference letter to support his application for admission to your honored graduate program. I got to know Mr. Lei in the Spring of 2014 at Michigan State University and taught him Hospitality Business Information System.

Mr. Lei Kaiming was an outstanding student and brings all of his fresh energy, enthusiasm and commitment, which is expected for any successful member in my lecture. He was always earnest and took detailed notes of my lessons. There were four individual projects in my course, which seemed rather difficult for most of students, however, Mr. Lei Kaiming excelled at comprehending new disciplines and concepts. He could often stick to the points and familiarize the property management system (PMS) and Restaurant management system (RMS) by virtue of a good mastery of computer software. When confronted with unexpected questions, he could give immediate answers with ease. His full devotion, diligence and creativity to the subject left me a deep impression.Owing to his serious and conscientious attitude, Mr. Lei achieved excellent scores on my course and also stayed among top 10% in the overall scores.

At Michigan State University, students are greeted with free atmosphere and supposed to study independently, in this regard Mr. Lei Kaiming fitted in quite well. He not only did well in academic study but also performed excellently in extra-curricular experiences.On campus, he worked as a volunteer for MSU Hospitality Business Career Fair and MSU Homecoming Parade respectively. During the period, all assignments were always finished on time, in general, thoughtfully done. Moreover, he demonstrated strong interpersonal,cooperative abilities as well as great responsibility in the work. In order to turn what he has learned into real practice, he took internship in the Summer of 2014. As an intern in Bank of Communication, Jiangxi Branch, he did a great job, showing his excellent communication with different people at work and having good ability to settle into new environment. His industrious and responsible attitude with the capacity of fast learning earned him great approval from the bank manager and he was promoted to gain professional business knowledge which would be necessary for his further graduate study.

During my acquaintance with Mr. Lei, Kaiming, I find that he was a creative, industrious, intelligent and adaptable person with academic spirit and surprising stamina toward goals. He has gained solid base of professional knowledge and great potential for further developments. He has proved to me that he is ready for his proposed graduate study. And your consideration and acceptance will be highly appreciated.
