My Views on Grading System

As far as I am concerned, the charm of education is to stimulate the deep pleasure of students. The magic of teachers should be focused on leading the students, arousing their curiosity and encouraging them to pursue the truth. 

  During our academic life, the grading system is inevitably brought in to assess the learning outcomes of students. Nevertheless, the grading system sometimes can be misunderstood by some students, parents and even educators. It is an irrefutable fact that examination and grading can directly reflect the learning achievements of one student to some extent. As a consequence, students seems to pursue higher score to prove that their achievements in academic. The students may easily become grade-oriented and neglect the very nature of studying. Rather than acquire and digest the knowledge, some students gradually pay more attention on whether they get an A.

  However, the setting of grading never aims to driven vicious competition, blind arrogance and discrimination. In fact, the grading system is just a system set by the graders. In this case, the system may not be so objective to each individual. To be more specific, there may be some flaws in grading system and students who get high score actually do not master the knowledge thoroughly.

  In conclusion, the grading system should be a tool rather than the ultimate goal during our study life. Just enjoying the process of learning and pay less attention to the score.
