Abstract

When we hear the word ‘terrorism’, we will think of the 911 event, which caused much damage. “911” event for the United States and the world is far-reaching, a terrorist bombing of the world trade center and the Pentagon, and United States of peace and security. A terrorist attack, the people realized that such a thing can happen in any place, any person. Terrorism seriously threatening peace, had a bearing on economic and political development.

Recently, the alarm about the problem of the terrorism have caused wide public concern, one after another terrorist attack around the world, countless innocent people died, the world has cast a horrible color. When we hear the word ‘terrorism’, we will think of the 911 event, which caused much damage. In fact, international terrorism has existed since World War Two. As society develops, many means have been used in terrorism such as hijacking, explosion, kidnapping and so on, which attracts much attention in the whole world.

The September 11 attacks were a series of coordinated suicide attacks by al-Qaeda upon the United States on September 11, 2001. Four commercial jet airliners where two of it were being crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, another jet into the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed into a field near Shanks Ville in rural Pennsylvania. Including New York landmarks, the World Trade Center towers six buildings were completely destroyed, the other 23 high-rise building have been destroyed, the U.S. departments of Defense headquarters in the Pentagon were attacked. The total deaths excluding hijackers are 2977.

After horrible “9.11” attack, U.S. rose up anti-terrorism war against terrorists. Iraq was defined as one of the "axes of evil” countries by George W Bush. After that, it was invaded by multinational force in 2003 led by U.S and U.K. U.S has sent more than 152 thousand troops into Iraq will other 5,000 troops sent by U.K. and other countries. Moreover, U.S. has spent more than 12 billion U.S. dollars per month in 2008 in the war and reconstruction program of Iraq. Does U.S. win in Iraq become a serious problem debated broadly among the public. Bush hold the position that America is winning in Iraq, what U.S. needs is sending more army to Iraq. While most of American and citizens from other countries argue that Iraq War is the copy of Vietnam War which means that U.S. troops is in the lair of Iraq. Iraq War will not end no matter how many U.S. armies been sent into it according to the opinions of people who oppose Iraq war. The also argued that the failure of Iraq war and the failure of rebuilding program in Iraq is not because insufficient force of army but because the collapse of the functions of Iraq government. According to a statistic of 2009, the deaths number of U.S. army has exceeded 4,000, excluding more than 300 non-U.S. troops. However, one of the purposes of the Iraq War is that U.S. wants to accuse Saddam Hussein in supporting terrorism in Iraq and U.S. had achieved so. The multinational force killed and captures more than 300 top regime leaders of Iraq including Saddam Hussein in 2003. After several trials against Saddam Hussein, he was sentenced to death in 2006. This reflected that U.S. has achieved one of its goals of Iraq War. （Bush）

Frankly speaking, it is impossible to make terrorism disappear. So how to reduce it seems very important. After all, all kinds of terrorist activities do harm to society and human-beings. For a country, it threatens country’s public security and economic development. For the whole world, it keeps people all of the world in a mess. These horrible consequences warn that it is necessary to solve the problem.

Faced with so many terrorist activities, we cannot help to think about the roots of terrorism. There are three reasons for the problem. Firstly, extreme nationalism, which is intended to resist the foreign oppression and seek for national independence, is the main root of terrorism. Although some countries did succeed by this way in history, the way itself should not be advocated. Besides, terrorism is the product of intensification of contradictions in the domestic and overseas. In other words, the gaps between rich and poor countries become wider and wider, leading to terrorism against the globalization of capitalism. In all, the main reason lies in the economy. So, how to make fair distribution around the world is worth thinking deeply. Last but not least, religious factors and cultural conflicts should be responsible for this serious problem. As we know, some crazy religious believers play important role in terrorist events in several years.

Are All Terrorists being Muslims? When people talk about terrorism, they always think of Muslims and Islam. There is no doubt that the recently terrorist attacks are related to Muslims.

As far as people’s concerned, what is the most important is to keep developing the global economy and try to promote fair distribution of economy. Especially, developed countries should provide support of economy and technology for developing countries in order to keep the balance of economy in the world. Because we cannot prevent the development of global economy, so it is wise to join in the global market and take opportunities of developing own economy. As people say, seizing chances is the basic of creating chances. Next, it is the key to deal well with the religious problems. People must realize that religion is a part of culture and not able to be connected with policy. Governments of the world should give religions enough freedom and respects that they should get. What’s more, strengthening communications of different cultures is helpful to enhance each other’s understandings. In other words, seek common points and put differences aside. People should believe that peaceful negotiations are better than unwise violence. Besides, it will reduce the damages caused by terrorism by improving the systems of public security. Of course, these points seem easy but difficult to carry out. This is the reason why terrorism is still expanding in the world. But we still believe that the problem will be eased with the help of all countries and all people. We hope the day would come as soon as possible.

It is obvious that terrorism had affected and threatened our lives in any possible ways. Recently, not a month ago, one of the most beautiful cities had been attacked by the horrible and brutal terrorist group ISIS again. What is the most saddening is not about how the tall buildings and new road blockages had been ruined and destroyed. However, the most saddening part of the accident is that a lot of innocent lives have been taken away for no reasons. Among all these poor victims whose family members now are mourning, some of these people have not even reached the most wonderful stage of their lives, which is the their youth. Also, some of them are new mothers and because of their deaths, these people’s poor babies are born without a mother. (Potter, 2015)

In fact, the bomb attack that had happened in Paris, France this year is known to the be the most terrible terrorist attack that is launched by the bloodless organization with the notorious name called ISIS.(Potter, 2015)

ISIS nowadays is known to be the most “persistent” terrorist organizations that most of the world’s nations’ military groups would like to kill. However, it has expanded its influence and some of the members have sneakily got into the crowd in some big cities in London. For example, in the same year, ISIS has posted a video at the aim of recruiting young and hopeless American people to join the ISIS organization and the people who have promoted it in the video had promoted whoever want to join the organization that they are able to get the so called “paradise”.

In TeenVogue, one of the popular websites for news reporting, there is one news report written by Dorian Geiger, in this news report, it is mentioned that the ISIS group has taken advantage of the convenience of the social media in order to recruit American teenagers who are hopeless and who have lost a direction of their goals in the future. In the article, one of the girls who used to work for the organization has spoken out in front of the public. This girl is called Zainab Al Suwajj.She said that when she was less than twenty years old, she had already had the experiences of pulling gun triggers and throwing little bombs in front of the Iraqi soldiers.(Potter, 2015)

In fact, she had participated in an uprising against the leader of the nation at that time, Saddam Hussein. In this case, she had worked for others as one of the mange rebel fighters. She was compelled to join the organization to take part in the rebel although she has realized how dangerous this can be. The reason is because she has been taught that it is important for whoever is young and strong to join the armies to help the citizens in Iraq to get rid of the control of the brutal dictator Saddam Hussein.

Also, in the news report about how ISIS has made use of the social media such as Face book, Twitter and You tube videos to get more new members to join their bloody crusade, it is mentioned that ISIS is able to get so many young boys and young girls on board because they have used very professional ways of convincing people to do whatever they are asked to do. It is stated by one famous expert who is professional in studying the psychology of human beings that the ISIS organization has succeeded in recruiting more people to brutally kill another one because they are able to capture the heart of the teenagers in the United States of America. The method that the ISIS group has resorted to is to speak out the vulnerable part deep in their hearts and the most sensitive problems that they have to suffer now in this phase. In fact, a lot of American teenagers are young and lost and in this moment, their mind easily gets twisted when other people have exposed the other charming side of life even though these words and these promises can be easily judge to be terrible lies for a person with normal sense. (Stakelbeck, 2015)

However, usually, the recruiters in the ISIS group will show the students with very charming future if they have agreed on joining the terrorist organization. However, according to a BBC documentary of those have work as a spy in the ISIS organization, those spies have revealed to the world that ISIS group only tricked these teenagers who are not able to think clearly.

In fact, after these lost teenagers had believed in the fake paradise that is promised by the ISIS group, the moment he was official the group member, his life is worse than being put in the prison because at least in the prison, people can assure your safety. However, the young members of the ISIS groups are forced to do “real life” practicing. (Potter, 2015) In this year, there are some stunning pictures being post in the Washington newspaper and the CNN newspapers to show that a little boy, who has been proved later to be only 10 years old, had taken up a gun to point at a middle aged man and he is able to kill him. In the same series of the picture, it has shown the boy had pulled the trigger and in the next part of the picture, the middle aged man has fallen down on the floor and the boy was cheering happily. The public outside was shocked to see such a young boy who dared to murder an innocent man so bloodily in public.(Potter, 2015)

Clearly, ISIS organization has brain washed new young members in any possible ways. According to the spies, these new members are usually hit and threatened to be killed if they do not follow the orders of their leaders. In Madrid in 2004, the metro had been attacked bloodily by the terrorist groups as well and one of the couples who had died together in the bomb attacked had held hands and died together. Most people had remembered this incident to be the most beautiful story. However, the cold and hard truth behind should be remembered as well. In fact, these terrorists who had got on the metro and who had tied the bombs onto their bodies had actually died with other victims in Madrid had admitted that they have been told by the terrorists group members that if they have killed the people in the bomb attack, they will be granted around hundreds of virgins and a bunch of big mansions in paradise. Clearly, it is a lie and the majority of people are able to tell it. However, the ISIS group did not only promote their bloody method of “saving” the world, at the same time, they brain washed the new members to make sure they would believe them that these truths are correct.

To conclude, the ISIS group has been hurting the nation and all other victims in all possible ways. The attacks that the ISIS organizations have launched in the world have caused endless pain on the innocent people from all around the world such as Paris, New York and so on. The worst part of it is that it has brain washed the young new members to take over the world and to brutally kill other people for their own benefits. The organization is too powerful and too brutal that recently, other nations’ military groups were still afraid to face them. However, it is important for more nations to send out intelligent agents to work as the spies in the ISIS group to figure out new ways to destroy the organization.
