In the story, the Christmas ghostshave taken Ebenezer Scroogeback into his childhood memories. In this part, Ebenezer Scroogewas able to revisit the jolly moment of his schooldays. Some people said that the protagonist of a story must be the one that speaks the most so in this part, Christmas ghosts had talked a lot and they should be considered to be the protagonists. However, I think that the protagonist of the story does not mean that the person should talk so much. On the contrary, it means that the person is at the center of it. In this part, the Christmas ghosts have reminded Ebenezer Scroogea lesson that he got in the past: he lost the love of his life due to his desires for money. It is obvious that Ebenezer Scroogeis at the center of the story.

The most important feature of a protagonist is that he or she is able to transform in a positive way and the miser Ebenezer Scrooge is the typical example because at the beginning, the miser was bitter and not satisfied with his life. The great transformation of Ebenezer Scrooge can illustrate to us that he should be the protagonist of the story. For example, because he was taken by one of the Christmas ghosts to visit a place, he was very mean and not generous at all. However, after he met Tiny Tim, he suddenly had realized his problems. After the sick boy Tiny Tim has died in the end, it has helped the miser to think deeply and contemplate about his life and realize how lucky he is with so much while the other family lost a young boy. At this moment, Ebenezer Scrooge was able to understand how lucky and how blessed he himself is. Also, by learning from Fred, who is the exact opposite of the Ebenezer Scrooge, Ebenezer Scrooge was able to discover his problems and make a transformation.
