The purpose of the self-assessment report is analysis the character and ability of the examinee. The examinee’s management will be clearly identify and reasonably accurate positioning in the assessment. The subject of assessments include the machiavellism, the self-monitor, the risk-taker, the hard-core and the IE of examinee. In this report, I will discuss the exercise 2, exercise 3 and exercise 4.

Description of the self-assessments

The exercise 2 is an assessment about self-monitor. There are 13 statements in the assessment, the score of each statement is from 1 to 5. The score is higher, the examinee’s self-monitor degree is stronger. The statements has tested the examinee’s self-monitor ability from many different aspects, include social behavior, social communication, emotion sensitive, conversation skills, etc.

The exercise 3 is an assessment about risk-taker. There are four case in the assessment, and the examinee decide to accept the operation which bear risk or not. The chance to success of the risk is from 1 to 10. The choice’s chance is lower, the more chance he is a risk-taker.

The exercise 4 is an assessment about hard-core type A. There are 7 statements in the assessment, the score of each statement is from 1 to 8. The score is higher, the examinee is close to hardcore type A, otherwise the examinee is close to type B.

Description of results

My score of exercise 2 is 48. I’m not a high self-monitor, but I’m trying to approach the goal. In each statement I circled the somewhat true or generally true, but without certainly. It means there are some details I need to improving.

My score of exercise 3 is 5. 25 in 10. I’m not a active risk-taker, but it determined in accordance with the situation. If the situation is not advantage to me, I will take a risk to success.

My score of exercise 4 is 114, a lesser extreme hard-core type A. My hard-core type performance is not to intense in competitive, oppression and single interest.

Application of results

Currently, I’m not a high self-monitor in workplace, but I’m trying to improving it now. If I know what the situation calls for, I’ll quickly adjust my behaviors to make it in accordance with the different people and different situation. The change of behaviors will help me to find a suitable location for myself in workplace. A successful behavior change means that new habits have been developed. Have permanently adopted more effective ways of acting and interacting. But remember that adopting any new behavior takes practice, so be patient with yourself. Since old habits don’t vanish overnight, you are likely to have a few relapses. What I find it difficult is control the way of come across to people, and leave them a impression what I wished. And it’s hard to change the image I am portraying in workplace, it is which I need to improving it.

I make the decide whether take the risk depend on the situation. In the statement 1, I think Mr. B should not have the operation no matter what theprobabilities, because the risk is bigger than the benefits. Although Mr. B was suffered by the heart disease, but the disease is not life- threatening currently. But if the operation fails, it maybe leads a fatal outcome. The same decide I’ll make in the workplace, if the risk I taken is more bigger than the benefits I’ll get, I won’t take the risk.

In the statement 2, I will take the risk if the chance are 3 in 10. The University is behind in the score show they are in the passive position in the game. Even they get a tie score, they are likely to lose at last. But if they try a risk play, the opponents may be confused by the risk play, and they may have a chance to come back. When it application in workplace, it means: if the opponents is stronger than you, do not be a war of attrition, take a risk action always gain a unexpected success.

In the statement 3 and 4, I make the same decide as statement 2, it depends on the situation and the ratio of benefits and risk. If I want to look for a job or plan for a position in a company, I should understand the formal and informal rules for the personal and professional risk taking. This includes both inside the company. As well as for the lowest common denominator within the company, the organization, the department and other workplace. Personal risk taking is what it looks like. If I plan to introduce more risk into my business or career, I will develop a plan with a clear set of tactical actions that will help to manage my risk.

I’m a hard-core type A but lesser intense. I pay attention to the thing of time, so I try to not late as possible as I can. And I make the daily eating and walking faster, because these unnecessary time consumption is pointless. I always try to do many things at one time, so it makes me have many interests outside work. What I lacked is the competitive, this lead to I often feeling express rather than oppression. It’s disadvantageous to work, the lack of competition will lead to a lack of driving force of progress, and the express feeling show the passive position in workplace.

Conclusion

The main purpose of this assessments is understand myself, and make a accurately analysis in the personal ability and character. Find and summarize the advantage and disadvantage of myself, and on this point investigate my position in the workplace. How to adjust behaviors to make it in accordance with the different people and different situation. Be confidence when face  of obstacles and setbacks. Admit mistakes and correct them in time. Careful analysis the faced situation and decide to take the risk or not. Develop good life and work habits, and improving the overall ability in workplace.
