With the large retail commercial buildings playing a more and more important role in modern cities, the accesses gradually become an important factor affecting the urban public space.However, many buildings only pay more attention to the appearance design, but ignore the circulation of the area (Dungarwal 2-3 ), especially in the aspect of access design.This paper analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the access of two new and old buildings in Carrefour supermarket and Joindoor hypermarket, then draws the relevant conclusions and puts forward some suggestions for improvement.

Carrefour supermarket access:

Parkson Shopping Mall, its core store is Carrefour supermarket, its access design is very standard. Carrefour supermarket’s main access is located in the underground, and through a small square to connect with the city interchange system. Citizens can go down to the square by ramp, stairs, escalators, and then into the shopping hall. Stairs and other facilities are not only convenient for customers, but also play a role in separating vehicles. The vehicle drives on the upper ground and the access of the underground garage is located on the other side of the secondary road, which reduces the disturbance to the passenger flow at the main entrance. At the same time, considering that many consumers may arrive by bicycle, a bicycle parking lot is set up on the side of the access, and the bicycle parking distance is extended from the access to avoid the disturbance of the access caused by random bicycle parking. In this way, it creates a good traffic environment for the access of this large retail commercial building. It ensures the smooth progress of human activities in the space and creates favorable conditions for other commercial and public activities. At the same time, in order to meet the needs of the comprehensive shopping behavior and the diversified development of shopping psychology, its external sculpture, greening, paving, fountain and other elements ingeniously combined with the shopping space, thus reflecting its leisure and landscape characteristics. In addition, a variety of signs, guides, bulletin boards, road signs and other shopping guide facilities have been established to achieve a large and orderly shopping flow. It also uses television, large-scale electronic display screens, computer inquiries, Internet commodity consulting services and other information channels to enable wider dissemination of commodity information, to communicate with consumers and promote market promotion. It also embodies people-oriented welfare, such as the establishment of barrier-free access, disabled people's toilets and other facilities, as well as temporary nurseries, children's parks, rest seats, and so on. Joindoor supermarket access

Joindoor supermarket access design is a relatively failed example. It belongs to the older buildings. It has a large front square, but it is not well organized and utilized, all kinds of service facilities are scarce. It is mainly outdoor parking. Both sides of the main access are vehicle parking lots and bicycle parking lots. However, there is no effective separation between the three regions, which results in people's entering and going are often disturbed by vertical traffic flow. That often requires security guards to maintain order at the scene. This also makes some outdoor commercial promotions almost impossible to carry out. Its carpark access, though on a secondary road, is the only way for people to enter the supermarket through the sub access. It will inevitably cause disturbance. And because of the large flow of people, it also attracted a lot of taxi drivers, their appearance, further exacerbated the traffic chaos, thus may bring a lot of traffic hazards. Furthermore, the external space of the access is short of supporting facilities, such as seats, signs, etc. In addition, the outer space of the building lacks visual features, the space is filled with various noises and the environment is bad.

Conclusions and recommendations:

As can be seen from the above two examples, as the most public access design in the outer space of the building, it is sometimes necessary to undertake part of the vehicle activities, including crossing, return and parking. However, parking is a burden for the small area and complex activities of the access, so the number of parking should be limited. At the same time, a strict division of people and vehicles should be made to ensure that sufficient area is not occupied by parking and not disturbed by vehicles. Pedestrians should be allowed some space to walk out and stay, and the vehicular access should be separated from the pedestrian access(Mex 5-6). Only when the access are completely separated, can pedestrian-vehicle zoning be realized. Large parking spaces should be opened on sub-trunk roads to avoid impact on urban traffic. In order to maintain the convenient connection between the two regions, the building’s access should try to achieve the following points:

1,it is necessary to have a good functional relationship with the internal layout of the building and an orderly linked with the urban roads.

2,to minimize the cross and mutual interference between the traffic flow and the passenger flow, and to mitigate the impact on the urban arterial roads.

3,there is sufficient distribution space and parking space for the flow of people and traffic.

4, all kinds of traffic flow lines should be clear, convenient and fast.

5,Handle the blocking facilities at the street access. Different pavement materials and paving methods should be selected according to the conditions of the vehicles. The sealing measures can be made by using movable flower pots, flower boxes, or flower pools above the ground, or by installing rest seats, or by making different elevations of the ground (leaving the ramps for the disabled). There are also street lamps, ornaments, sculptures, pools and other closed measures to prohibit traffic vehicles.

6, indoor and outdoor space activities are important behaviors in people's daily life. In people's way of communication, a part of the behavior will occur when the external conditions are suitable and the place is attractive. The provision of this material condition is very important in the activity area. Although the composition of material conditions has no direct impact on people's behavior, it can affect people's opportunities to interact with each other. For example, shopping malls can increase peoples' opportunities to take walks, such as organizing walking program(Belza 7-10).Meanwhile, artificial natural environment should be created, such as green space, trees, waterscape, flower terrace and so on. At the same time, a signage is an important means of communication between consumers and commodities, so the establishment of signage for shopping malls is also necessary.
