The biggest challenge presented to me as I make the transition from high school to college will be becoming more responsible as I grow into a young adult. My college experience will be the first time that I have to learn how to manage my time, keep up with my work, and how to succeed on my own. If I can become more responsible through this transitional period my college experience will be a successful one.

In order for me to get something out of college, I must learn how to manage my time. Without being able to manage my time well college will be a very difficult part of my life. When I go to college I am going to have to learn how to put my schoolwork before my friends so that I can profit from my college experience. Time management is the most important aspect of the transitional period from high school to college. Without good time management skills the transition will be one of the most difficult times of my life.

After I learn how to use my time well, I must continue to do my work. This will allow my transition into college to be easier and more successful. They stay up the night before a test to cram because they did not keep up with their homework. When you study, you remember things that you did for homework and you do not have to spend as much time studying for a certain part of the test. Good work habits will make college much easier. They will help me become more of a well rounded person and allow me to achieve greater success.

Learning how to succeed on my own in school will make me get through the high school to college transition easier by allowing me to be able to have more of a sense of independence. If I get through the transitional period by doing my work without help I will be ready for the four years of college ahead of me. This independence will not only help me move through college more smoothly, but also help me prepare to become a part of the working community.

If I can become a more responsible young adult my transition from high school to college should be very smooth. I should be able to do well in school and still have an enjoyable experience throughout my four years of college.
