Dear Sir,

 Thank you for reading my letter in your busy time,I I would like to apply for one of the scholarships that your department will be offering to students from other countries. I was born in a business family in China and i would like to be a successful businessman like my parent, I heard the Arkansas University has many advanced experience in this aspect, so I applied to study in this school successfully. Now I am a freshman in Arkansas University. I major in business management.I like this major very much and I think real practice is much more important than the theory that I studied from books. Just as the saying goes, truth comes from practice. Therefore, I take part in activities actively in s my spare time, I once held a group called Alpha Lambda Delta at UCA, which is to keep up with activities, meeting and group activities for the members of Alpha Lambda Delta first year Honor Society at the University of Central Arkansas. As a leader of this group, I learned much though I met a lot of difficulties in the process of organizing it. I know that a good leadership is an important factor in an organization. And I realized that some knowledge about psychology is good for you to lead your group members. So I choose psychology as my secondary major. Besides, I would like to organize some communities of phycological consult for free. I hope such communities can help those with phycological problems a lot. This is just my idea and it needs some money and some other students’ help to change it into real actions. So I really aspire for the scholarship your apartment offered. I would like to continue to hold such activities in my college life, which can enrich my college life and is beneficial for me to understand major better. As for the future life in my college, I plan to join in some voluntary activities and experience different management style to conclude something which is good for my future career. As we all know, volunteer work is different from other kinds of work, which will not pay for its members. So the one who can manage it well will need a lot of theory to support and some related experience. So in the term, I will move my attention to this fields and try to hold such voluntary activities by myself. Besides my real practice on my major, I design to do some researches and a further study the topic of leadership in voluntary activities. Of curse, this project needs some funds to support , then I hope I can succeed in obtaining the scholarship and I will do my best to carry out the project.
