In order to protect the intellectual property of individuals including literature,music,painting etc, the copyright statute Law No. 633 was established in April 22, 194 and Law no. 399 in June 20, 1978, computer programs as a literary work was classified into protection. With the developments of new technology like electronic products and the internet evolved,several amendments have been made.The Italian communications authority - AGCOM gave the final approval to a regulation concern about protection of copyright on electronic communication networks On 12 December 2013, based on the public consultation and workshop’s call on copyright protection at a international level in the past 3 years. The establishment of the regulation not only gives legal support for the digital work, but copyright violation in case can be proceeded according the regulation. The regulation entered into force on 31 March 2014.
