Creating Values Everywhere

本文作者想通过自己的经历，着力想表达一个人怎样创造价值，不管是经济价值还是社会价值。努力充实自己，完善自己，创造经济价值，然后帮助那些需要帮助的人们，得以实现自己的社会价值。

1. I once paid a visit to the orphanage near our school, and spent almost 5 days studying with the kids out there. We did the cleaning, cooked meals, and helped to paint their walls. In the next day, I brought many candies and snacks for the kids by myself, which had cost my half-a-month pock money. Watching them reveling in the innocent joys, never had I felt so pleased at helping someone.

2. Guided by your notion, “creating economic and social value everywhere”, I thought the greatest value would always come out of the advancement of science and technology, and with that greater social value would be feasible. However, the latter largely depends on the how ethically or morally committed a person is. A person, capable of creating great economic value, is prone to go astray. Only a person, both ethically committed and competent in creating economic, could bring out the greatest good to the society.

Therefore, I would like to move forward towards “creating economic and social value everywhere” in 4 steps. In the first step, I would sink in as much practical knowledge as possible so as to lay a solid foundation, and achieve academic excellence, which is of great benefits for creating greater economic values in the future, as is knowledge is the first productivity. In the second step, I would like to throw myself to various extracurricular activities in your campus, and social practices out of your campus. I would first create the small “social value” in your campus by helping those students in need. Then, I would extend my commitment outside campus to underprivileged people in the society. The third step is after my graduation from your college. With the the accumulation of my professional knowledge acquired in your college, I think I could embrace a bigger stage in the society than if without. That is to say I would be more productive to the society, and would be easily to create a greater value to the society. I would take study as my life-long task, and adapt myself to the rapidly changing society so that the value I would be capable of creating would remain consistent. In the 4th step, I would return to the society, and rally people with common interests to give hands to those in need, and those underprivileged. That shall be the end where my decades’ learning would head for, I believe.
