Reading Response
Summary of Cyber-reports of Mountain TragedyAfter the occurrence of a tremendous avalanche in Tibet, the seven members out of total 1999 American Shishapangma Ski Expedition manifested that their males were locked in the ice within eyesight of them and they could do nothing.
The team leader Andrew Mclean reported this on Oct, 7 stating the time when the avalanche happened and what he had done to look for Alex and Dave. His next report claimed that seeing the snow reminded him of his dead males, he missed them extremely. Another team member Hans Saari also added something similar.
Lowe and Joel Lee and many other people had tried to rethink the moment when they saw the dead men and express their sadness of losing these extraordinary people.
It is worthy to mention that there is a fund to support them.
Discussion:
First of all, I decided to write the occurrence of the avalanche, because readers should know what happened before knowing other following things. Then, I chose some significant information and summarize them in my own words. Moreover, I have omitted a sentence, which goes like “The dead men Alex Lowe and Dave Bridges were brought into focus and gained something like getting a sponsorship.” I thought that I should be mentioned, however, in the end, my word has surpassed the limited word counts, hence, I deleted it. In the proofreading process, I mainly concentrate on forgetting the whole event and perusing my own summary to see whether I could understand what happened.
