The Outsiders Johnny from The Outsiders was a tragic hero. His role in the movie was the little gentle boy from a broken home. The Greasers consisted of Ponyboy, Dallas, Soda Pop, Darrell, Two Bit, Johnny, and others. The Greasers were the only family that Johnny ever had. The family, especially Dallas, also felt the responsibility of protecting Johnny. The Greasers had a rival group that they would constantly fight with, the soc’s. Johnny has a terrible night when he runs into two socs after a movie. The whole fight starts with his actions. Johnny causes the majority of the trouble throughout the movie, but when it counted the most Johnny became a hero. This time period that these boys grew up in was a time when boys cared for themselves, and the only thing that mattered is if you were tough, somewhat of a highly masculine culture. The greasers wore plain white shirt with their hair slicked back, things the Greasers took pride in. The Socs on the other hand were all prep like, and they liked to set themselves apart from the others by showing off. Johnny’s first role in the movie took place he stood up for Cherry and Marcia outsiders, johnny, dallas, life, greasers, hero, movie, church, ponyboy, boys, took, socs, role, off, never, made, little, group, felt, family, children, bob, because, after, two, trouble, town, toughness, tough, time, throughout, things, themselves, sun, stayed, stay, shows
