First of all, thinking is a comprehensive process, which includes concepts, problem solving, decision-making, and judgments. As we all know, forming concepts is one of central functions during people’s thinking. Human being form their concepts starting with developing prototypes during their life. After forming concepts, human being could apply problem solving strategies based the concepts they gain in their lives. Problem solving is a difficult but important part of people’s thinking process. It helps people to overcome obstacles in their lives as well as helps people to integrate knowledge and skill they could learn through their thinking process. Human being is a creative group, in terms of this, human being could develop problem-solving skills even they never met the similar situation. The strategies could be developed by cognition, concepts, and experience. Finally, based on the concepts, and problem-solving skills, human being could show decision-making and judgments, which is the highest level of people thinking process. Decision-making is also a comprehensive process, because it is a integration of concepts, strategies, cognition, awareness, and unconsciousness. There are several important concepts we should know about decision-making. The available heuristic is a short process that facilitates people to think as quickly as possible. Sometimes, in order to keep the stability of our thoughts and decision-making, we should beat overconfidence and keep belief perseverance, while we should as pay attention to the effects of framing.

Now, let’s talk about language. Some scientists believe language is a significant performance of people’s thinking. However, others recognize language is an independent function. Language contains phonemes, morphemes, and grammars. Language is a developing process through human’s life span development. We accepted receptive language since we are child, and develop productive language when our cognition becomes mature.

So, where is the connection of human’s thinking and language? It is easy to find that we could only explain language development through understanding people’s thinking process. Language learning process starts from statistical learning that is similar to the concept part of people’s thinking. Then, after statistical learning, critical period in language development is a projection of problem solving strategies. Finally, mature language can be used as a decision-making process because the choice of words and grammars is a comprehensive process such as decision-making process.

Thus, thinking and language is related to each other even they are two totally different process. Language is a performance of thinking, and thinking is and inside basic of language.
