 Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci is one of the most distinguished figures in human history given that he has multiple identities of savants as painter, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician, engineer, inventor, anatomist, geologist,cartographer, botanist, and writer. As Nolan Dalla says, “He may very well have been the most extraordinary man that’s ever lived”. Davinci was born in 1452 in Tuscany of Italy. When he was 15, he went to Florence for learning and in 1516 he moved to France, living there until his death in 1519. Many people deem him as a genius because of the great achievement he made. Despite the endowment, Davinci paid persistent efforts when he was learning. In terms of scientific study, he mastered scientific methods and he published a book named Treatise on Painting. In terms of anatomy, Davinci began his learning after being a apprentice of Andrea del Verrocchio. After several years of endeavor, he’s proficient in drawing human skeleton, muscles and sinews. With respect to engineering and inventions, he had considerable thoughts in machines such as musical instruments, amechanical knight, hydraulic pumps, and reversible crank mechanisms. Therefore, Davinci must indeed a talent in many fields. His expertise in these aspects has dramatically benefited the following generations. Many of his masterpieces have been retained until today, such as Mona Lisa, Last Supper and Annunciation. These masterpieces would be the ways through which people can interact with Davinci. Most of them emerge in the period of renaissance and contain Davinci’s view that “ humanity included a mix of beauty and ugliness, good and evil”. It, to some extent, helped to transform the period. In conclusion, Davinci is an admirable figure who are both talented and arduous, and leaves many meaningful and unimaginable treasure for humans through his endeavor.
