Through the first investing attempt in this assignment, I have a preliminary understanding of securities investment, especially stock investment, which has strengthened my desire to enter the capital market. However, our understanding and experiences of securities investment are obviously insufficient. In the future, we will continue to learn and improve our investment ability and lay a solid foundation in the capital market in the future.

What’s more, after a period of practice in the assignment, I also summed up a few tips that require special attention when investing in securities, especially in the stock market.

a) Properly master the professional knowledge of securities investment and cautiously analyze the financial information.

The fundamental purpose of researching security product is to invest in them. Only by fully understanding various securities and their operating rules can proceed securities investment smoothly. Securities investment is a complex process with theoretical problems, technical problems, and specific operational problems. Because of the combination of speculation and investment, securities investment can be really risky but profitable. Thus, it is very crucial for investors to make their investment decision.

b) Timely seize the moment of investing and generally understand the investment environment.

The key to stock securities investment is to see the general trend because the market is closely related to the external environment. The economic recession will lead to the stock market’s shrink, and the stock price will fall. If we can understand the rhythm of the ups and downs, it can help us earn a profit when the price rise and help us go out of danger when the price fall. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the various political and economic situations at home and abroad and the various information from joint stock company and judge whether the temporary rise is caused by speculation or overall prosperity, so as to draw firm conclusions and then invest.

c) Carefully select stocks and correctly choose security product through reasonable management.

I believe that the principle of stock picking is to consider its potential value and substantial growth and development in the foreseeable future. We should do research on companies’ financial and non-financial performance and focus on companies with good prospect in the future. We ought to consider the stock market hotspots and the overall trend of the industrial sector to select stocks.

d) Maintain a good attitude.

The stock market is full of risk. Although there are opportunities for enormous profit, speculation will also cause losses to the stockholders. Avoiding blindly following others, hesitation and lack of self-confidence can bring us calm and peaceful mind and keep a neutral attitude towards the gains and losses.

e) Reasonable risk analysis and risk avoidance

Due to the uncertainty of future economic activities or the influence of various unforeseen factors, the stock price will fluctuate randomly. Stock market risk means the actual return might not exceed the expected return. Even to suffer losses and possibilities of bankruptcy. Hence it is imperative for us to lean risk management as well.

f) Accurately grasp the selling point of stocks

In order to avoid large losses, individual investors need to learn how to sell stocks. Buying stock at a low price and sell it at a higher price is most investors’ ideal expectation. The decision to sell stocks at a specific moment is more important than when to buy stocks. In order to achieve our goal, we should not try to find the highest selling point of the stock and sell it decisively through our own professional judgement.
