I think we should use this fear-based weapon to end the fate of the fascism, at the same time, to set up our place in the world for our interest in Asia. Therefor our country can put our control into the Asian territory. What’s more, when Japan faces the complete hopeless prospect occasioned by destruction already wrought by air bombardment and sea blockade, they will be willing to capitulate short of complete military defeat. So, I think we should use this devastating new weapon to end the war with Japan.

Secondly, when considering the nuclear arms race, I think it’s necessary to use this new weapon. The Russian scientists and perhaps the Germans and others may be before long hard in the race of developing this new type of weapon. They could catch up with our present position in the course of three or four years which is a threat to our safety. What our present advantage lies entirely in the constructions of plants for the manufacture of materials. We need take full use of this advantage. Moreover, the devastating effects of this bomb would be of another order of magnitude from the atomic bomb based on our present industrial level. If several powerful countries own this new weapon, we will be very dangerous and our safety will be controlled by these powerful countries. So I think we as a powerful country should shoulder the responsibility to keep the world peaceful with the creation of the atomic bomb. If we do not carry our plan out, we may fail to enter the leader of the world.

Thirdly, we need to take the high casualties into consideration. Admiral Leahy has pointed out that the troops in Okinawa had lost 35 percent in casualties, when it’s applied to estimate the casualties in Kyushu, it will be similar in the number. To decrease the number of casualties, we should hurry to end this war with the new weapon. On top of this, the Japanese military caste is limited in membership to no particular social group. We are the fighter of the world peace and we need to defense for our safety. Moreover, in the process of nuclear arms race, we America cannot fail behind those powerful countries. If we first use the weapon we newly develop in Japan to end the war, we will get higher fame and reputation in the world. At the same time, we will also get what we want in Asia. Therefor we can limit the potential Soviet expansion into Asia and construct the political system in Asia. Besides this, we also shoulder the responsibility and mission to decrease the number of casualties in our country. If we can do it, our citizens will support what we do, and our government will be more stable in the management of the public. And I think you our sincere president will be supported by the congress. So I think we should carry out the plan and use the atomic bomb to end the war to win the total victory.

So I think our president should represent the will of the people, and end the fate of the fascism for the world peace. If we cannot win the total victory, we will be in predicament of the war. If so, we will be more troublesome to end the war.
