1. Function and Meaning of The Pop Palace

The Pop Palace is a 10-acre modern American version of Islamic architectures down the hillside. It is for three separated purposes: resident, entertainment and work in three linked constructions. Inside, the central building consists of a grand central room, bedrooms, family room, multiple bath and restrooms, a office, a personal gym and a small reading room, satisfying the daily need of its residents. The palace is made of marble and steel cable material. Three buildings are quadrangular in plan surrounding a central court in a semi arch, where an infinity pool and a central fountain lie in the façade as the axis. In this way, the palace is organized symmetrically to construct a harmonious beauty in alignment of wonderful garden views. The three buildings are connected through column arcades decorated with art objects by recyclable materials.

In addition, to pay tribute to the grand Alhambra, the interior design of the Pop Palace uses painted tiles as paneling for walls.
