My Neighborhood-the Bronx Although the inner city of New York has its many positive aspects such as a good baseball team and great ethnic food, many people hold negative stereotypes concerning how “the people” may act or the violence involved. When I say “the people”, I am referring to New Yorkers because it is well known that they are put under a category: They are rude, pushy, mean and live in a place where they get mugged in a train station every night. The fact is this is how many people might view where I am from but the problem that lies in it is why do people feel this way' Why is it that when I tell someone where I am from they automatically think I’m in a gang or that I have seen someone get shot many times. I would sincerely want to change these stereotypical views because it is portraying a beautiful city, one in which I am proud to be from, to be a crime factory. Maybe someone would not notice the living conditions residing outside New York City, but being born and raised in the Bronx, I pretty much know what the city is about and the troubles that people, new, york, city, violence, bronx, am, one, change, world, media, yorkers, out, about, neighborhood, crime, because, stereotypes, someone, put, much, just, feel, country, town, take, show, should, share, problem, place, needs, make, know, fact, even
