Puerto Rico Puerto Rico In august 1, 1988, my life was affected in a great way. It was my first time on a commercial airliner going first class to Puerto Rico; the first people I met were my grand parents. They took care of me while I was there. As my grand parent; and I made our way to the car, all the vegetation amazed me and sweet smells the islands flowers brought me joy. When I arrived at the house, I met my cousins. They hardly spoke English but I understood what they were saying. During my stay in Puerto Rico I encountered many strange animals. One animal that amazed me was a spotted millipede. The insect had many legs that moved in a pattern like the oceans waves. As the bug crawled on my skin, it tickled me as if a feather had brushed up against me. The millipede was whit in color and had red spots running alongside its body. The spots were similar to the rising sun on the Japanese flag.
