Social Responsibility Social responsibility in the McDonalds Corporation McDonalds recently issued their first social responsibility report. The company did this so that they would be able to share their ideas with the public. They want to be able to show their customers their plans in the most important areas of social responsibility. They cover subjects such as; the environment, their consumers, and relationships they have with their suppliers, and of course the food that they serve. McDonald’s has locations in over 100 countries. This great business also comes with a great amount of responsibilities. At www.mcdonald’s.com, they tell us that the corporation is very committed to their social responsibility. They call it; “…doing the right thing.” They believe that one of their responsibilities is to give back to the communities that give so much to them. In their commitment to give back to the communities they done many things such as: Provide homes away from homes for families of hospitalized children, provide meals for disaster victims, sponsor special events, and support educational partnerships.
