Business Research In regards to the attitudes associated with casual dress Fridays in the business world there are two scales I would chose, the summated ratings scale and the categorical scale. I would chose not to use the semantic differential scale because that type of scale is used mainly for personal characteristic opinions. Another scale that wouldn’t work for this study is a graphic ratings scale because the fact that the respondent chooses their opinion from a non-specific continuum makes it not specific enough for the question. The summated ratings scale I would give to the respondents would be a 5-point scale. It would start with 1-as strongly disagree and end at 5-with strongly agree. It would be a forced choice because the middle point at 3 would be labeled neither agree nor disagree. I would ask the different questions related to how workers feel about casual dress Friday and then sum the totals together to see if the results were positively correlated. The first statement would be “Casual dress Friday improves worker morale”, the second; “I have heard about casual dress Friday and since then scale, dress, casual, friday, ratings, interested, because, about, summated, respondents, question, chose, work, wanted, time, thorough, strongly, results, respondent, research, questions, particular, opinions, fridays, effective, disagree, choices, categorical, business, ask, agree, if, wouldn’t, world, working, workers
