Tuesdays With Morrie “ When your in bed, you’re dead,”- Morrie Schwartz I see this chapter as outlining the importance of being an individual member of the world community and not just doing what is expected of you. Morrie clearly expresses the importance of taking care of what is essential especially since he is at the end of his life; no moment is to be wasted worrying about what is going to happen next. If you are associated with an activity or idea that is not supplementary to reaching your desired dreams and aspirations, then you are wasting your life. Morrie also faces the issue of racism and sexism.
