In their brush house in a hanging box lies his baby Coyotito and a scorpion slowly moved towards him, while in Kino's head "The Song of Evil" plays loudly. Then the scorpion fell on Coyotito and stung him. Then Kino's wife Juana tried to save him by sucking out the poison. Soon the whole village knew about him being stung. Then when they took the baby to the doctor, he wouldn't treat him because of their race and because he knew they were poor. D.
