The Crucible This Essay is about the accuracy of the video to the play on the Crucible. The Video and the play were almost exact. There were only a few differences. The video was very good but so was the play. The video might be better for some people so that they can see who all the characters are, and get a better understanding of the play. Some people might prefer the play so that way then can imagine what’s going on, they can look at things their own way, and they can make up there own view of the characters. Some of the things that were missing in the play were the appendix two, the killing of Giles Corey, and The hangings at the end. Appendix two showed what conversation John and Abigail had that drove her to accuse John’s wife, Elizabeth, of sticking her with the needle. The hanging wasn’t in the Play, they stopped it where Reverend Hale was begging Elizabeth to try and change John’s mind, and she declined. In the video, Appendix two was included. The hanging was also included, along with the killing of Giles Corey.
