Ransom RANSOM by, Lois Duncan Setting: High in the mountains, in an old cabin. Main Characters: Bruce, Dexter, Glenn, Jesse, and Marianne which were all kids that got kidnapped. Point of View: The point of view was a little different in this book than in others that I have read. The point of view is first person, but it switches between Jesse and Marianne throughout the book. Theme: I think that the author is trying to tell us that if you stick together things will turn out fine. Plot: Five students are kidnapped and held for ransom in an old cabin in the mountains by a guy who acted to be their substitute bus driver.
