Justification
The primary objective of this essay is to elaborate on foreign management consulting firm and elucidate the critical role of management consulting firms to benefit local Chinese company. Since the Chinese economy can maintaining a good growth, the concentration level of consulting industry will be further enhanced. 
However, the management consulting industry in China has received little academic attention due to a variety of reasons. Firstly, it is highly fragmented with a variety of consulting firms. Second, Academic research on the consulting industry has focus on studying the practice of consulting, the value they generate for their clients, and the way consulting firms are organized and managed. Third, apart from the differences in size and scale, there exists a wide variety in the positioning and differentiation of the various consulting firms. 
This paper reviewed the foreign management consulting practices in Chinese construction industry in the past decade. The roles and responsibilities of management consultants in China were investigated by means of in-depth interviews. It would like to explore foreign management consulting firms support Big Chinese corporations with ambitions to grow and expand overseas market. Meanwhile, it also mentions how foreign management consulting firms can improve the management consulting practice to its full extent.

Literature review 
Consulting Industry Overview
Consulting is the one of earliest enterprise instance for outsourcing. Enterprises and managers have been seeking external consulting and support which as an important strategy, seemingly application problems such as accounting and taxation. Consulting as an industry by system theory and the practice of glasses, transaction cost economics, principal-agent problems, outsourcing implementation opinions and transaction costs), and a professional services firm which provides organization theory research (PSF). The practice of academic research for consulting industry has focused on consulting practice; consulting work bear nature, create value for their customers, and the organization and management of consulting company. Consulting Industry Growth in China
Although China is not the world’s largest consulting market, it is the fastest growing one which has the potential of becoming the largest market in the world. Not only has its own economic growth which is the fastest in the world but also its pace to be integrated into world economy brought a lot of consulting demands.
Foreign Management consulting firms entered China market in 1980s. China management consulting industry started is relatively low, but the development speed is very fast. The development of Chinese management consulting market can be divided into 3 stages: the first stage is information consultation that is the period of beginning of reform and opening up in China. As a result, foreign Management consulting firms have the information on the demand for counseling. The second stage is the stage of ideas and planning for consulting. The basic market demand information has become the basic requirements of enterprise competition, but the lack of an effective way of how to win in the market competition. In this case entered the third stage of the occupation management consulting, and standardized management of consulting company. Foreign consulting company to enter the China also has nearly 20 years of time, to make a certain contribution for the development of Chinese consulting industry.
The Chinese government is also an important client for consulting companies. Like what the US government did, the Chinese government has started to use consulting to make more adjusted and balanced policies. With China’s reform and opening-up entering to its fourth decade, the Chinese government is transforming from a management-oriented government to service-oriented one. There are a lot of areas for the government to get the help from consulting companies to imitate and learn how to increase its efficiency and how to adapt itself to the new demands of opening-up (Kipping, 2013)..
With China's economy continues to keep its momentum and quicken its integration pace into economic globalization, famous consulting firms including McKenzie, BCG, Roland Berger or Accenture have access to the Chinese consulting market and bring its own concept, vision and method to China as well. 
Foreign consulting company introduced a series of advanced ideas, to help Chinese enterprises in developing constantly updated management concept and management concept, catch up with international standards and specifications. Foreign consulting firms have enough experience to solve the problem of their business development in the United States, the European Union, Japan and other developed countries (David, 2013). With their stage of development, China's industrial development, the successful experiences and failure lessons, can provide Chinese enterprises with a wide field of vision. Third, the gap is also reflected in the knowledge resources. Foreign consulting firms tend to have several decades or even hundreds of years of development, it has helped them accumulated considerable knowledge resources, case studies, research and knowledge base, system improvement. Fourth, on the international network of disparity is obvious, especially the talent net. To serve the Chinese market as the main goal of multinational consulting company, it can be global expert resources integration for Chinese customers, and consulting companies in China is more based on China, there are usually no international network resources (Huang, 2004).
As China's enterprise become matures and seeking consulting, China has attracted a lot of business of the company, by some famous consultancy. Nigel knight, Ernst & Young’s greater China consulting consultant said, the market is expected to increase 13 to sixteen percent in year 2014 (Brock, 2015). "The Chinese market is one of the most competitive consulting markets in the world. In every major consultant of the world already exists," said Tim Paget, chief partner at PWC China (Christensen, Wang & Bever, 2013).
Overall, the foreign consulting firm in recent years has been greatly developed, but the consulting market in China is still a new modern service industry. With the growth of Chinese economy and the consulting industry, compared with 10 years or 20 years ago, the foreign consulting firm in China has made considerable achievement.

In this essay I argue those characteristics of foreign consulting firms in China and the relation between foreign consulting firms and their big Chinese corporations’ clients. The author should also compare the foreign consulting firms and local consulting firms so that foreign consulting firms improve and benefit whole Chinese consulting industry.

Working plan & structure
Though the literature review, it just mention that current situation of foreign consulting firms has strong performance in Chinese market. In this essay, I want to use in-depth interviews were undertaken with industry practitioners in order to find out: 1) what is the current situation of the foreign management consulting firm help Chinese clients to expand domestic market and explore the oversea market; and 2) how the Chinese local consulting firms can be improved by foreign consulting firms. To analysis this topic, I will choose in-depth interview and some case study to develop statement on the analysis section. 
Such studies are heavily influenced by theoretical paradigms emerging from business studies, consulting service and related analysis. More importantly, the study of consulting service in China can help to improve my own practice of consulting in my professional development.
