Then, find out the decision variables, which are the production amount of each kind of juice in this case, and the constraints of this specific problem in an inequation form. Then, use the “Solver” function of excel. Enter the objective function, the decision variables, and the constraints of the problem; it will automatically calculate the most accurate result of the optimal amount of the two kinds of juices produced which will maximize the profits. 

Economic order quantity, EOQ, is the order quantity that minimizes the total holding costs and ordering costs, but should be based on three assumptions: known demand rate, fixed item cost as well as ordering and holding cost, and constant lead time. For example, suppose a company which produces socks has an annual demand of 100,000 pair of socks, and it hires you as a supply chain analyst to help them do the supply chain performance analysis for the company, and help the company minimize the total costs. To do the analysis, you have already know the annual demand of the pair of socks the company produces, which is 100,000 for the current fiscal year. Then, you have to research on the product’s fixed cost, inventory holding cost, and the unit production cost. Suppose the fixed cost per unit is $2, the inventory holding cost is $0.2 per unit, and the production cost is $0.5 per unit. As the minimum order quantity is √((2×K×D)/h), thus the minimum total cost is √2hDK + PD, √(2*0.2*100000*2)+0.5*100000,  which results in $50283. As a result, the total minimum cost for the company to product socks annually is $50283. This total cost expression for the EOQ model can be also used in a lot of more complicated situations, sometimes requiring forecasting annual demand first.
