First just weed, then Alice did every kind of drug she could get her hands on. She ran away a couple of times, and got really messed up. She just left in the middle of the night with one of her older friends to San Francisco, and they live there for a while, with jobs and a place to live. Then Alice gets homesick and they go back home. Alice has this boyfriend who will not be sexually active with her unless she is high. She thinks she is pregnant, and praies the day she got her period again.
