My Experience of the Christian Vocations

In recent several days, I have done the project with my friends. On the May 12th , I decided to go to the children school to do some things. My friends and I set up a group. We stayed there and   done service for about three and a half hours. I believe this christian vocation is very meaningful and unforgettable. 
At the beginning, I decided to do this project in a group. In my opinion, the power of the group is better than the individual power. What’s more, we can learn to cooperate with others in the group. So I chose to do this project with my friends A, B and C.  
We all wanted to do service in the children school because we love children. Unlike the business company, school is a holly place in our heart. It is a non-profit organization. 
My paper can be divided in to two parts, one is group section, another is individual section. Then I will collaborate this vocation. 
In the group section, my group has learn a lot from this vocation in the children school. First, we think that doing service in non-profit’s is a simple thing, but when we came in to the children school, something changed our mind. There are some books and clothes which were devoted by warm-heated people. We just did some things for the children school. For example, we made the classroom tidy just by sweeping the floor, taking out the trash, cleaning the windows. Finally, the classroom had became orderly. We realized that this non-profit’s mission was a simple thing but it could bring great change for the children school. The Chinese have an ancient saying, “many hands make light work.” So I advocate more and more people to join this type of vocation. 
When we did the service, we also meet some difficulties. The principal of the children school said there was nothing to do in the school at the beginning. We became a little upset, but we communicated with principle actively and got the chance to clean up the classrooms and the dormitories. 
People in the children school were very nice. The beginning of our service was not accepted by people there. They were cautious about our acting. Then we explained our purpose for them and did the service carefully. Gradually, they could understand our acting and held a positive opinion towards the service through vocation. They gave my group great appreciation at the end of the acting. We all felt very happy. 
I had find several virtues of our service from the Internet. First, we did the good things for the children school. Secondly, we found the meaning of the service from the practice acting. For example, we did the service for three and a half hours, we found that this acting was not the certain show but the responsibility for the society and the people who need help. Finally, we learned to appreciate others who help us and we also delivered this great virtue by our acting. All of these virtues had great linking with our service and even the daily life. 
Individually, I had learned much from this service. On the one side, I learned the real meaning of the service. Before I did the service in the children school, I always thought that doing service is too small to do. After I finished this vocation, I changed my view. For example, in this vocation, my task was to take out the garbage. I did it carefully and I had a sense of achievement. Now, I believe that if everyone does the small service for the other people who need help, our society will become better and better.  
As for my own life, I want to take the sense of the appreciation in to my daily life. I can not live in the world without others’ help. I should appreciate people who give the help for me. For example, I want to appreciate the policemen. Without their earnest working, we can not live in peace. Vice versa, I will give other people support as possible. Love and help will make the world better in the future. 
In the future, I will do such service in my daily life. I will do something I can do for the non-profit organizations. What’s more, I will donate things or money to the homeless people. I think doing the service is a valuable thing. I will insist doing this in the future. Unlike the service organization, I just did this in my spare time. (Schneider, 53)
In conclusion, this project’s theme is “live a life of service”, I have found the significance of the service and the virtues of this acting. I call on more people to do this acting, we must get the happiness from it.
