Line 44: This sentence revealed that the Confucian Classics is a set of book, but who have written it? What is the contribution of Confucius in the compiling of these series?


Line 49: What exactly does the “wings” mean by here? How can we define the practice ancient people did was divination?

Who shall decide what the Heaven think is actually having the highest power, but I doubt that this “decision making group” is not even a group of people but generations who are strongly affected by the traditional ideology within the Five Classics. Therefore, it is hard to say whether the royal families make use of the classics or the classics, the opposite around, further solidifies its ruling over people‘s mind.

Line 250-255: I got a feeling that the author has underestimated the other schools’ effort in shaping this traditional Chinese ideology system, or Chinese philosophy, because Confucius himself is against the worship and over-sacrificing to the super nature beings. But on the contrary, the school of Tao has developed a comparably more well-built ranked system of the deity. Therefore, I doubt that here the author has mistaken some concept in the Taoism as the Confucian.


Line 244: In this sentence underlines the ideas that when a society is thriving and people are amply, all individuals will have no conflicts of interest and dissents, which I slightly doubt about according the observation of nowadays society.


Line 298-230: Consulting the tortoise oracle, this act seems funny today.


Big Rat: After other texts seem august, this piece is especially simple. But regarding the content, one may find that the decision of placing this piece among the other formal writings reflects some degree of humanity concerns. -M
