Goal and objectives

这份project的目标是为了提高各地安全性行为的意识，以降低学生染上性病和意外怀孕的几率，计划是让缺乏知识和安全性行为和意外怀孕的学生的咨询，以丰富和提高自己的知识和安全性行为和性病预防的意识信息。

  The goal of our project is to increase awareness around safe sex practices, to lower STD and unplanned pregnancy among students at UND. Program is to enable students with the lack of knowledge and information of safe sex and unplanned pregnancy counselling to enrich and increase their knowledge and awareness of safe sex and STD prevention. Through my research, I find that there are pretty large problems of STDs and unplanned pregnancy existing in on campus, which are the roadblocks and setbacks for students to get their degrees. 
  According to Stanford University’s Sexual Health Peer Resource Center, there are about one forth of college students having an STD. Meanwhile, statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that “although people ages 15-24 Represent only 25% of the sexually active population, they account for more than half of the new STD diagnoses each year”. Therefore, it is necessary and urgent to take some measures to solve the problems and the program can be one of the best choice to solve the problems. The program can be easy to solve the problems by spreading the knowledge and providing resources with little cost.
The main objectives of the program include the following:
  1. Providing a visible increase of awareness of safe sex and STD prevention as well as the reduction of unplanned pregnancy. The objective is for students to reduce the lack of       knowledge and resources of safe sex and STDs prevention with no cost.
  2. Providing students with the necessary information and protective measures to make sure safe sex practices and reproductive healthware at free cost. The objective is to make   students understand how  to ensure safe sex and prevent STDs.
  3. Providing students with the counsels of unplanned pregnancy and STDs prevention plus safe sex. The goal is to educate students and advocate things about safe sex, STDs prevention and unplanned pregnancy.
  4. Enabling students to access an organization conveniently, named Planned Parenthood, which can help to reduce the STDs and unplanned pregnancy by its passionate advocate of safe sex and STD prevention.
  5. Educating the necessary people and providing them access to things, such as birth control, condoms, plan B and STD testing at free charge, which is a very simple and easy way to solve the problems and thus benefit the people largely.
  6. Establishing, if possible, a branch of that organiztion on or around the campus to help students increase their knowledge of the safe sex and STDs prevention as well as unplanned pregnancy.
