Introduction

Have you ever imagined that some people in other parts of the world cannot enjoy the pizza you eat and the coke you drink every day for lunch due to constrains on financial aspect or other resources? Have you considered that the Japanese sushi or Chinese black tea you have in the afternoon may be inadequate in the near future? 

Actually, Professor Campbell (1991) in Cornell University has pointed out in his paper “The phenomenon loosely labeled hunger in last century is currently being discussed as insecurity”. In recent years, Food insecurity is gradually becoming a heated topic both for citizens, enterprises and the government since this issue is influencing the health well-being of citizens and even the security of the United States. It has become a major concern for the people around the world. Scientists and politicians are making efforts to do related research about the status quo regarding, the scientific measurement and the potential risks which leads to the food insecurity. What is more important, the ultimate goal for them is to explore the corresponding and effective solutions to avoid and prevent the domestic food insecurity.

As a consequence, the topic of this paper is very meaningful as it is closely related to political, economic and other aspects. In this paper, the updated statistics and will be examined to provide recommendations for both enterprises and government to avoid the food insecurity.
