Humanoid robots will not cause the ethical problems. 
2.Summarize the article?
The article “Humanoid Robotics: Ethical Considerations ” was wrote by David Bruemmer on May 30th in 2006. 
First, the author used the example between calculators and mathematicians to show the necessary for using humanoid robots in the society. 
Then the author explained why we had intelligent, emotion exhibiting humanoids and how we can motivate the development of the humanoids. To some extent, humanoids may cause some problems. Two distinct specials of humanoids will arise, all technologies looks like artificial. Human’s relationship may be in trouble by using humanoids.  What’s more, if human create a emotional relationship with humanoids robot, humanoids may have the effect by person’s personality or manners. So people think robots should be designed to act as the rule by giving all rules of the behavior. Then , the author proved that robots can not control the World. 
Finally, the author drew the statement that humanoids robots will not cause the ethical problems.  
3.Why do you think the author felt the need to write the article?( In other words, the purpose to inform, to entertain, to shock, a call to action, to educate, or to persuade?)
The purpose of this article is to persuade people to have a objective view towards the humanoids robots. Humanoids robots are not perfect, but they do not bring the ethical problems. 

4.What’s the author’s tone? That is, what is author’s altitude towards the topic and his or her audience? Give examples to illustrate your points. 
The tone of the author is objective. For example, In the article, the author does not use the extreme words towards opposition. At the last paragraph, the author says “if we fear them, it is because we fear ourselves”. The author does not against other opinion directly, he just gave reasonable explanation and examples to them.  
5.What kind of sources does the author offer in support of his or her ideas? How current and reliable are they? Are any perspectives left out? 
Examples and quote are the sources in the article. For example, the author cited the Isaac Asimov’s words to represent some people’s view. 
6.Who is the intended audience? What makes you think so?
The professors who pay attention to this area will be the audience of this article, because they may do research in this filed. The information in this article may help them to think over about the relevant problems. 
7.How does the author prove his or her main points? Discuss the logos, pathos, and ethos used in the article. Is it effective? 
 The author proves his main points by using examples and reasonable explanation. The logos in this article is ethical. The whole article is relative to the ethical consideration. The evidences of the author’s point are reasonable. The author using the examples and quote in the article, all of these make the article rich in content. The ethos in the article is clear that we should have confidence of ourselves and we should control the humanoids instead of being fear towards it. All of the logos, paths, and ethos make the article rich and effective.
