Frankenstein Science getting out of control becomes a theme in the book Frankenstein. When Victor is a young boy he wants to learn all about the creation of life and his father does not stop him from doing so. Because of this and through his professor at Ingolstadt he becomes an expert in this field. Science is out of control because Victor tries to play God by trying to create life and ends up becoming a father to this monster. Victor does not realize his own limits and does inhumane things like digging up graves. He uses the body parts of many different cadavers to create one being which becomes a monster because of the way it is treated when first created. No one knows exactly what Victor is doing in his laboratory so they don’t try to stop him. Victor thinks that just because he has the knowledge to create such a monster that he can. Victor does not think of his consequences and the morals of performing such an experiment until after he is finished. Once he finishes he comes to realize what horrible creature he has created and that he should have never started on this.
