Robbie ROBBIE This story begins with a little 8yr-old girl named Gloria, playing hide-and seek with her pet robot, Robbie. The two are incredible companions and Gloria loves him with all of her heart. However, Robbie tricks her while he is hiding and tries to get away but Gloria screams that’s cheating. So while Gloria hides, Robbie counts to 100 and goes searching but when he finds Gloria she accuses him of cheating again. This actually upsets Robbie and he pouts until Gloria cuts a deal exchanging a story for a piggy-back ride. While she is telling Robbie the story her mother calls them in for dinner. Then Mrs. Weston, who is Gloria’s mother, does not take a strong liking to Robbie at all. She thinks all the villagers are scared of Robbie and that they won’t let their kids out after dark because of Robbie. So when Gloria wants to sit with Robbie at the dinner table, Robbie gets dismissed and sent to his room while Gloria gets yelled at. Mr. George and Mrs. Grace Weston have a huge talk about Robbie and what to do with him.
