At the time when Malcolm X delivered his “Ballot or the Bullet” speech, he was an orthodox Muslim preaching the equality of all races, but that blacks must help themselves. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. on August 28, 1963.
