Intro-_Political_Dynasty

Our country is now in the so called “campaign period.” We are now in the time wherein politics is a big deal for everyone. We are now in the time wherein different people would try to convince the Filipinos that they have the power to be elected in office. We are now in the crucial period wherein we need to choose the right people for the right position in order to make the change for our country’s future, the Philippines’ future. And if we are to talk about these people trying to opt for our votes and the 2013 election, that’s where the topic of “political dynasty” enters. The Philippines have been under the so called political dynasty, which is according to Webster a term referring to succession of rules from the same family for several generations, way back the 1400’s, even before we became a part of the Spaniards’ colony. Political analysts even say that it runs in the Filipino blood for we’ve been under the leadership and governance of these influential families even before the 1st Philippine Constitution was written. Whereas, this “political dynasty” have been existing throughout our history, until our present time. But the question is, why does this type of power succession became a very big thing in the context of Philippine politics and election' If it has been a part of our government system, then why this topic had been a very controversial issue among electoral candidacies and government positions, and considering it to be banned' Why' It is because we, Filipinos, have big misconceptions about what “political dynasty” is and sad to say, these misconceptions are giving a wrong and bad image to those families which are included in said dynasties. Wrong and bad, in a sense of we tend to be stereotypes when it comes to candidates and politicians who are part of a political family. Wrong and bad in the sense of exposing political dynasties with negative image. But in reality, those misconceptions are wrong and we should actually see political dynasties as a positive and credible type of political succession. And if you’re going to ask why, then my group mates and I are here to prove why we need not to ban political dynasties. We are here to explain further why we should consider having influential families as our leaders. We are here to tell each one of you the advantages and the benefits of having political dynasties here in the Philippines. And at the end our arguments, I guarantee you that your misconceptions about having this type of political line would be proven wrong. After our hearing our stands, all of you would understand why we need to consider and recognize these political dynasties representatives this coming elections.
