Huck Finn The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn was written by one of the most exciting author in America, Mark Twain. This book was written around 1885 in which he was recognized by the literary establishment as one of the greatest writers America would ever produce. He also received national attention even before Huckleberry Finn when he published his short story “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County” in 1865. Toward the end of his life, troubled by personal tragedy and financial failure, Mark Twain became more and more pessimistic. He spent his last years in depression and exasperation. He died in 1910. In the book, The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn, the main character Huck Finn deals with numerous issues. Huck is the narrator of this book that’s filled with humor. Huck is believed to be literal minded, which makes him a good narrator due to the fact that he tells everything he sees clearly and accurate. He is hearting felt and sympathetic to other human beings. That’s when he feels Jim’s goodness and sense of love. He learns to appreciate Jim’s love through his morality instead of spirituality. Jim is another major character in the story.
