Lord Of The Flies Reaction Paper Lord Of The Flies Reaction Paper I found Lord Of The Flies to be a very interesting book written by William Golding. I felt that it had both good and bad qualities about it. It began with a wonderful adventure a group of boys had when their plane crashed and they ended up on an island with no adults or technological appliances to help them survive or be rescued. I thought that the book was great in the beginning, but as the boys became more and more uncivilized and savage, the book began to worsen. Incredibly brutal events happened that were described in great detail. Detail is a good quality for a book to have. However it should be used properly. Some of the events in this book involved murders which were described, in my opinion, with too much detail. When a character named Piggy died, Golding described part of it by saying, “His head opened and stuff came out and turned red. Piggy’s arms and legs twitched a bit, like a pig’s after it has been killed.” I realize the affect that the author, Golding, is trying to make by doing this, but that scene, along with others, was a little lord, flies, book, boys, jack, leader, events, about, pigs, piggy, one, golding, because, way, tribe, today’s, think, pig, out, life, kill, island, died, although, things, story, society, simon, realize, part, much, jack’s, great, good, everybody, end, don’t, detail
