Unlike his friends and the people that attended his parties, Jay Gatsby was a very decent person despite most of his acquaintances and his occupation.. He was also a very altruistic person. He analyzed all of the things with regard to accuracy of observation. A perfect example of this regard is shown when he has all the parties of his, and he stands from afar to watch and join in all the fun from a distance. Jay Gatsby makes a potent character due to the fact that his characteristics are a key to analyzing the other characters.
