Gilgamesh: The True Evil of Power
This story of Gilgamesh is a perfect example of how power when given to someone, can overtake and corrupt an individual. Gilgamesh was a king and a product of a mortal man and an immortal goddess. His destiny was to someday die like his mortal father but he had immortal like strength given to him for his rule as a king in Uruk.
Though his destiny was to someday die like all of us humans he did not see that. The fact that he was a king and was given some godly powers, led him to the illusion of him being higher than everyone else and that he would live forever. This also led him to be very cruel to his people only to please himself, and reassure himself of that power. Gilgamesh was taken over by evil through the power he was given.
He was extremely evil towards his people.
